A brief history from the Dead Wood

The Dead Wood Society grew from friendships made in a club formerly known as the BSTA. We have grown in number over the years but we stay friends, first and foremost. We took the name Dead Wood so that as we continued doing projects in fandom we had something we could call ourselves. I mean it sounds better than "Those crazy friends are at it again!" Dead Wood productions in one form or another have been at Arisia since the very beginning. During the snowed-in weekend, also known as Arisia 2005, a few of us were hanging around reflecting on the party we had thrown at Worldcon. (Noreascon4) We thought, hey, we could do some type of party event here (at Arisia) and that's where the Retro Sci-Fi Party got started. Now that Arisia has settled into its new hotel, we came back with the Tribble Bash for Arisia 2008. Now we are planning our next adventure for Arisia 2009.
